Mariah Ruibal
Mariah is a student of human behavior and the mind, a presenter, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. She studied psychology of emotions at the University of Cambridge, graduated in cinema and audiovisual at the São Judas Tadeu University, studied journalism at the Catholic University of Santos, and theater at O Tablado.
But as no journey can be summarized in a list of titles, I will tell her story more completely.
Daughter of Spaniard Carlos and Brazilian Débora, Mariah came into the world on the first day of December 1990, in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo state, already showing determination and strength to live.
Every newborn undergoes a test called APGAR, which serves to assess overall health on a scale of 0 to 10. The points are the sum of the analysis of several criteria, and scores below 7 are considered risky. Mariah was born with a zero APGAR score, but the doctor, who was a family friend, took her to the incubator to try to reverse the situation. Fortunately, she made a full recovery of 100%.
Mariah considers it a miracle. As someone who knows her, I consider it an expression of her strength.
Her parents say that Mariah was a very fun, funny, loving child, always interested in the well-being of others.
“Hi, my name is Mariah. Do you want to play with me?
Following her instinct of determination and strength, at the age of nine, Mariah became a high-performance athlete in swimming, swimming until she was seventeen. She set records, won trophies, medals, and, above all, determination.
Mariah ended her career as an athlete to dedicate herself to her studies. Deciding to study psychology, life surprised her by presenting another path. She was invited by a director to study theater, won a scholarship for the renowned O Tablado course, and moved to Rio de Janeiro. There, she had the opportunity to study not only acting but also human behavior, experiencing different characters and acting alongside big names in drama, such as José Loreto, Rômulo Estrela, Bruce Gomlevsky, Felipe Wagner, Anselmo Vasconcellos, Pérola Faria, among others.
Mariah loves acting, but certain aspects of the industry left her dissatisfied. With these concerns, she decided to devise a different strategy to achieve her professional goals. At that time, at the age of 17, she began to understand what her dreams were. The first step was to understand that dreams are just objectives that have not yet been achieved..
When I asked her what those objectives were, she said that things took shape during her journey, especially with maturity, but that the essence of her desires always remained the same: to awaken people to live their dreams..
Mariah says that living is walking towards what you desire.
“Living is the rarest thing in the world.
Most people just exist.”
(Wilde, Oscar)
For this reason, all of her projects and studies have a behavioral focus.
After a year of studying and working with drama, she decided to study journalism to improve her communication skills. During college, Mariah started working as a TV presenter and worked for major broadcasters.
From the beginning of her career, she developed her own projects, and one of them led her to film with athlete Neymar Jr., with whom she worked a few years later, having the opportunity to learn more about the business side of a career.
After three years in that job, Mariah resumed her career as a presenter with an invitation from businessman Sidney Oliveira to host a weekly live entertainment program on TV Gazeta. During the same period, Mariah created a series of videos on her old YouTube channel, and with the help of the artists she knows, the program aimed to fulfill dreams that are priceless but highly valuable.
Shortly after that season, she was invited by Caras Brasil to create a new YouTube project, and thus, she conceived "As 7 da Caras," talkshow with the aim of causing reflection in people. After finishing the interview season, Mariah worked internationally and visited more than 20 cities around the world, which led her to share her experiences in her program "TRIP," which airs weekly on her Instagram.
After spending almost two years traveling for work and preparing for this new phase, studying cultural and behavioral differences around the world, Mariah returned, engaged in her new project, Minds Channel, which aims to propagate behavioral education, allowing people to better understand the workings of the mind, the available tools for self-knowledge, and thus, to lead an authentic life, where the journey always leads toward dreams..
I say that Mariah has the gift of awakening people’s essence, of believing in them and providing opportunities. She naturally has a different perspective in most situations, is extremely dedicated to everything she does, and always puts herself in others’ shoes, avoiding judgments.
She is joyful, super fun, very charismatic, and sometimes very innocent.
Ah, she’s very fierce and has the terrible habit of always being right (laughs).
Anyway, she takes pleasure in experiencing the best things in life and believes that everyone can live that way.
That’s the wonderful Mariah.
